Becoming a parent is a life changing experience, and feeding your baby is one of the very first ways you’ll bond. Whether you're breastfeeding, bottle feeding or a combination of both, every feeding moment is an opportunity to nurture closeness and connection. This Breastfeeding Week, we want to celebrate not just breastfeeding, but all parents and caregivers who are beginning their feeding journey. Because no matter how you feed your baby, support, patience, and kindness (to your baby and yourself) go a long way. Keep scrolling for helpful tips on both breastfeeding and bottle feeding.
Breastfeeding & Bottle feeding Tips
1. Learn their cues:
Look for signs like rooting (turning their head and mouth), sucking on fingers, or making sucking motions.
2. Head and neck support:
Make sure you and your baby are comfortable and their head and neck are supported. We recommend our nursing pillows to help with this comfort.
5. Signs they are full
If your baby turns away, slows down, or pushes the bottle out, they may be full. Trust those signals.
Every baby is different and so is every feeding journey. Be kind to yourself, trust your instincts, and know that you can always ask for support.
